Breast Cancer Awareness Month

BMW Northwest Highlights Breast Cancer Awareness Month as a Proud Partner of National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.®

BMW Northwest is proud to donate $100 to our charitable partner, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.® for every new car sold during the month of October.

These funds will be used to provide mammograms to women in need, along with providing many other services.

A key mission of National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.® is to provide various resources and assistance to women now and aid those who are on the cancer journey all the way from education, to detection, treatment, and throughout survivorship.

The foundation's local partner hospital is Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, which is a part of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. "Thanks to funding from the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) has been able to reach women in our Pacific Northwest community who might not otherwise have access to early screening and detection of breast cancer, which are key elements to improving the chances of cure of this disease."  Since the launch of the "Mobile Mammography Program in 2008, the SCCA MammoVan has performed nearly 10,000 mammograms - including 800 sponsored mammograms for uninsured women."  - Fred Appelbaum, M.D.,  President of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance

We encourage everyone to visit the BMW Northwest showroom during the month of October to see the showroom cars outfitted in pink bows - a physical representation of our support for breast cancer awareness.

We're also proud to share further resources from our partner, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.®.
